It’s Draft Day 2, folks! After a busy first evening last night, we’re right back at it this morning to wrap up the rest of these rounds. For anyone who missed it, here’s the recap of the goings on from last night:

The Flyers did not move up into the top-10 as they were rumored to be trying to do. In fact, even with Zeev Buium on the table, still available to them, they moved back a place for Minnesota to grab him, and then with their new 13th overall pick, selected Jett Luchanko. Briere spoke afterwards and explained why they passed on Buium, and you can find that explanation here.

This would not be the only trade they made during the first round as, after all of our waiting for the 32nd pick to rolls around, they opted to flip it to the Oilers for their 2025 first round pick (which is top-12 protected), and called it a night.

A bit more news trickled out at the end of the night, as we learned that the Blue Jackets opted to keep their second-round pick this year, meaning the Flyers will get their second-round pick next year, and now will not be picking again until we get to the 51st overall pick. The rest of the Flyer’s scheduled picks are as follows:

Round three: 77th

Round five: 148th

Round five: 150th

Round six: 173rd

Round six: 177th

Round seven: 205th

Coverage begins on ESPN and ESPN+ at 11:30 ET. We’ll see what today holds for us, Flyers fans.
