*The Stanley Cup Final kicked off Saturday night and it was a big night for our old friend Bob, who posted a shutout in Game 1 and we’re out here talking about the Hall of Fame case already. [The Athletic]

*The game was funny in that the Panthers beat the Oilers in nearly the same way the Oilers dispatched the Stars: by getting thoroughly outplayed for most of the game but winning anyway. Here’s what to look out for in Game 2, which happens tonight. [ESPN]

*The hockey world learned yesterday that we will be losing CapFriendly, thanks to the Washington Capitals. [Sportsnet]

*We also got the final number on next year’s cap over the weekend and it is marginally higher than expected! Everyone go wild! [TSN]

*How’s about a roundup of the latest in rumors and speculations from around the league? [Sportsnet]

*Anyhoo, the Flyers. In case you missed it, Jamie Drysdale’s had his surgery and should be 100% good to go for the start of next season. Good news. [BSH]

*Danny Briere on his approach to both the combine, which wrapped this weekend, and the draft, which is less than three weeks away. [Inquirer]

*Speaking of the draft, should the Flyers take a… a flyer on a Finnish defenseman who missed a bunch of time due to injury? Kid’s next up at #21 on the Community Draft Board. [BSH]

*Back to the Flyers’ earlier draft pick, if you are a subscriber over at Charlie’s website he’s breaking down the case for and against the kids most likely to still be available at 12. [PHLY]

*POHO Keith Jones wants you to remember that when the Flyers had to choose between playoffs and rebuild, they chose correctly. [NBC Sports Philly]

*And finally, ICYMI Friday, a new episode of the BSH Podcast is available for your listening pleasure! [BSH]
