*Happy Canada Day, fam! No better day to kick off the start of Silly Season, also known as NHL Free Agency. But first, let’s put a bow on this draft. The Flyers traded back to pick at 13 instead of 12, and the pick they made seems to have caused some… consternation. Welcome to Philly, Jett!

*If you’re a subscriber over at Charlie’s website, you can check out his thoughts on Rounds 2 through 7. [PHLY]

*We thought it’d be a good idea to grade every pick the Flyers made this weekend. [BSH]

*Anyway, free agency! It’s today! And apparently, we are in for a wild one. [TSN]

*The latest 32 Thoughts has quite a few on the FA subject, naturally. As well as a few interesting Flyers tidbits. [Sportsnet]

*And finally, the Flyers did not extend Carter Hart a qualifying offer. Good riddance. [BSH]
