As we were all refreshing today’s broken version of Twitter to see how Free Agency was going to kick off, the Flyers dropped this year’s Dev Camp schedule. Which starts tomorrow. And you thought you were getting a little summer break from the Flyers.

From the team:

The Philadelphia Flyers today announced the roster and schedule for the club’s 2023 Development Camp which will be held Sunday, July 2-Thursday, July 6 at the Flyers Training Center in Voorhees, N.J., according to General Manager, Daniel Briere. All on-ice sessions will be free and open to the public.

Flyers’ Director of Player Development, Riley Armstrong, and Assistant Director of Player Development, Nick Schultz, along with Lehigh Valley Phantoms coaches will lead the on-ice sessions. Players will participate in daily skating, strength and conditioning sessions, as well as off-ice topics including social media training and sports psychology education. In addition, camp will conclude with a 5-on-5 scrimmage on Thursday, July 6 at 6:30 p.m. that is also free and open to the public.

A total of 39 players are scheduled to attend development camp and will be split into two groups: Team Clarke and Team Lindros. Eight of the Flyers 10 draftees from the 2023 NHL Draft, including Oliver Bonk (22nd overall) are scheduled to attend.

Dev camp begins tomorrow, July 2 with four on-ice sessions starting at 10:15 a.m. The full roster of players you’ll be able to see if you head on over to Voorhees over the next week is pretty substantial:

In addition to being able to watch the players on the ice, the team “will host a Flyers Fan Fest Thursday, July 6 at the Flyers Training Center from 4-6 p.m. The players will participate in an autograph session from 4-5 p.m. before taking the ice for the 5-on-5 scrimmage.”

Sounds like a lot of fun. If you’ve been missing hockey, this is a great way to get your fix in before the August doldrums.
